Axminsters are patterned carpets traditionally woven on looms it is not a quick process and not all aminsters are the same that is why the price varies so much, the lower priced axminsters are usually
made from man made fibre not a bad thing, it wears well but the problem is it does not keep its new look like wool, a woolen axminster can still look good even when it is nearly worn out. The next price
point are axminsters made from reclaimed wool or axminsters made with only 50% wool, our policy would be not to sell these as from experience, you would be better off buying a completely man made
axi at a lower price or going upgrade to a 80% wool axi (new wool). If you go for a 80% wool axi 20% other fibres the quality and usually price depends on how many shots there are to the inch the more
shots the heavier the quality
